Should I upgrade my PC?

Computer upgrades are a way of life.  With ever advancing software and the increasing number of add-on (peripheral) devices, you're computer may begin to feel the strain.  In most cases upgraded parts may be installed to keep your PC in sync with the latest gear.

Memory (RAM)
The single most cost effective way to breath life back into your PC is to add RAM (Random Access Memory).  Also referred to as Physical Memory, the addition of RAM will speed up the time it takes the computer's main processor (CPU) to access various programs on your PC.  Generally RAM is installed as 64 Megabyte, 128MB, or 256MB modules.

Hard Disks
The hard disk is where the computer stores most (if not all) of its information.  This includes program files, data files, and multimedia files.  It used to be that a 2 Gigabyte hard disk was more then enough for everything one might need.  With today's large data files and multimedia files such as mp3, digital pictures, and digital video a larger disk is needed.  Standard hard drives to day range from 20 gigabytes to 200 gigabytes.   If you want to expand the space on your PC, we can help you select the proper size and type.  We can install it and seamlessly transfer your existing files to the new drive.

Digital Imaging and more...
Today digital cameras are becoming more and more common.  The ability to save photographs on a CD as opposed to loosely arranged in a shoebox is one of the many benefits the digital revolution.  If you want to print those photos for friends and relatives, Omega can help with the selection and installation of a multifunction printer which allows standard printing, copying, scanning and even faxing from a single device.
